ULL is seeking a new Board Member

The Urban League of London is an umbrella group whose members include neighbourhood associations, community groups and individuals from across the city of London, Ontario. We believe that engaged and informed Londoners are the building blocks of a vital, successful, and sustainable city.  We believe that strong and connected communities are critical to bringing them together. Building these connections and advocating for our members is what we do. It’s what we’ve been doing for almost 50 years.

We’re excited to let you know that The Urban League of London is now soliciting your interest in becoming a Board member (Director). The Board of the Urban League is a working board: we meet and are in touch regularly to help coordinate and execute events and programs, and to be there for the direct support of our members. If you’d like to devote time and energy into this pursuit, we’d love for you to express your interest in joining.

We're currently seeking a community-minded individual to join our Board for a two year term.  All Londoners are welcome to indicate their interest, or nominate others they feel might be appropriate. (If you or your nominee has any experience in fundraising, that would be an added bonus.)

Your expression of interest should include the following things:

• Your current (if any) involvement with the League or other organizations
• Your interests and passion in the work being done (or that can be done) at the League
• Your skills and expertise that are relevant to the role
• Your prior experience (whether in your work or volunteering) that is relevant to the role
• Any unique perspectives, viewpoints, or lived experiences you may have

Once we’ve received your expressions of interest, they will be reviewed by a committee made up of current board members and member delegates in order to come up with a decision. We commit to being transparent through the process.
