We're Hiring - Communications Office (Canada Summer Jobs)
Position Details:
The Communication Officer will be working on the development and delivery of the Urban League of London communications strategy, along with updating and evaluating current Urban League material.
Responsibilities of the Communications Officer will include:
Development and posting of social media content
Design, development and implementation of ULL monthly e-newsletter for Londoners
Design of event invitations, surveys and other updates for email community, as required
Assisting with the development of material for the ULL website
Assistance in the development of outreach material for ULL and network organizations
Participating in local events put on by ULL and network organizations as a photographer/blogger
Creation of analytics report to evaluate the performance of ULL communications
Researching grant opportunities
Maintaining a daily log of activities and achievements
Performing other similar and related activities as required
Reporting project progress to their supervisor in a timely manner
Creating a transition manual to be delivered to future Communication Officers
This position is primarily remote, but some in-person activity in London, ON is required.
Preferable Experience:
Education or work experience in a similar field
Eligibility
This position is funded by the Government of Canada through the Canada Summer Jobs program.

Remuneration:
This is an 8-week summer contract funded through Canada Summer Jobs at $17.60/h for up to 35 hours/week (subject to change).
